Project Status: Ongoing (2024 - 2026)

The goal is to develop a nanofiber biomaterial based on Saccharomyces cerevisiae containing mycoviruses for the removal of Candida auris from hospital wastewater . This biocontrol approach aims to offer a unique and innovative solution against C. auris by leveraging the antifungal effect of mycoviruses.
