Alyosha studies behavioral ecology, dietary analysis, habitat use, and conservation biology in terrestrial mammals using metagenomic approaches based on environmental DNA data.

Alyosha Sezer completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Samsun. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Department of Biology at the Middle East Technical University. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree at the Biotechnology Institute of Ankara University.

Alyoşa Sezer is pursuing a master's degree in "Metagenomic Study of Behavior in Terrestrial Mammals." His research focuses on behavioral ecology, diet analysis, habitat use, and conservation biology, specifically in the context of the Canis lupus species. His work aims to reveal the feeding habits, interpersonal interactions, and relationships with environmental factors of wolf populations using metagenomic analysis techniques on environmental DNA (eDNA) samples. In this context, he adopts a holistic approach that combines genetic data with ecological observations to understand the behavioral diversity, adaptation mechanisms, and ecological dynamics of the species, contributing to conservation strategies.

Alyosha Sezer works as a full-time researcher at the Evolutionary Genetics Laboratory and the Agrigenomics Hub (AgriGx) Animal and Plant Genomics Research Innovation Center.
